Call for Papers – Future Surfaces 2025 | Submit your presentation!
VOM Belgium and the ION Association are proud to announce that the knowledge and networking event Future Surfaces 2025 will take place on November 19 and 20, 2025, in Edegem (Antwerp).
For the lecture program, the organization is calling for the submission of presentation proposals based on the following key themes. The central focus of the event is the future resilience of our industry. The deadline for submitting presentations is February 28, 2025.
By submitting a presentation proposal, you will have the opportunity to present and discuss topics related to materials, surface techniques, and coatings, focusing on new process technologies, new installations, and equipment variants. Also, in increasingly important areas: CO₂ footprint, energy saving, resource management, water consumption and usage, or the impact of legal frameworks (such as ARIE, REACH, PFAS restrictions, working with hazardous substances, EU regulations, and the Supply Chain Act). Contribute to discussions with leading experts in research and development. Submit your practice-oriented presentation now and seize the opportunity to present your solutions to an interested professional audience, with the possibility of making new connections!
Submitting a presentation proposal does not guarantee that your presentation will be included in the final program of Future Surfaces 2025. The organization will make the final selection.

Information on submitting presentations
A 30-minute slot will be reserved for each presentation, including 5 to 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
The presentation program will consist of practical or scientific lectures. Product, sales, advertising, and image presentations will not be accepted. Please avoid mentioning trademarks, product names, or content focused on advertising or sales promotion in your presentation title, summary, and presentation. Reviewers will strictly monitor this and reject such presentations.
Presentations should be submitted in English, and presentations will be delivered in Dutch, French, or English.
Each presentation submission must be accompanied by a summary and a short biography of the potential speaker – both in continuous text. A profile picture in jpg format is desirable.
P.S. If you do not wish to give a presentation yourself but would like to recommend a theme, speaker, or topic that you think should be part of the conference program, please let us know.
In March 2025, the reviewers will evaluate all submitted proposals. The presentation program will then be compiled by mid-May 2025. All submitters will receive an email notification regarding the approval or rejection of their proposal once the program has been structured.
